Throughout her career, Dotty Summerfield Giusti, founder of Summerfield Associates, Inc., has been applauded for her work in the recruiting and staffing industry – and for uplifting other business owners in the community. We are so excited to announce her latest recognition as a StyleBlueprint FACE of Memphis!

An online magazine, StyleBlueprint is a guide to style and substance, with a Southern bent. The FACES series honors the women in our community who are making a positive impact in their fields and in their communities. These groundbreakers make the 901 a unique and special place to live, work, and play. The list of featured women include business owners, executive directors, presidents, CEOs, designers, candymakers, artists, realtors, healers, and more!

Dotty was chosen thanks to her tireless work in her chosen field of recruiting and staffing. As a woman who blazed a trail in the industry, she originally found it difficult to find the funding – and the space – to start her own business thirty-five years ago. Thanks to her perseverance, she not only succeeded in founding Summerfield Associates – which is now an award-winning, nationally recognized company in the field of staffing and recruiting – she also set standards for others to follow. You can read more about her many achievements in her bio and our blogs, but she says her greatest career achievement was receiving the Norbert I. B. Fried Ethics Award from the National Association of Personnel Services for leading the work in establishing its Standards of Ethical Practices.

A lifelong Memphian, Dotty’s activities don’t stop with her career! She is the Membership Co-Chair of the Society of Information Management, Memphis Chapter, which recently co-hosted the inaugural MEMTECH Awards. She’s very active in the Greater Memphis Chamber, and is the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of the Mid-South. Previously, Dotty served on the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish Mid-South, the Memphis Child Advocacy Center, and Playhouse on the Square.
You can read her feature in StyleBlueprint here. We can think of no one who deserves recognition as a FACE of Memphis more than our own Dotty Summerfield Giusti!
